July 19, 2018:  Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG), the global smartphone giant, has announced the launch of its new HUAWEI nova 3 and HUAWEI nova 3i in the UAE. Both smartphones are powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) in its overall functioning and camera features. With dual front camera (24MP+2MP), users can expect the best-in-technology ‘selfie’ that a smartphone can offer.

HUAWEI nova 3 series was initially designed with the younger and trendier consumers in mind, for whom a smartphone is not just part of their lifestyle but also represents their personal style. The series is designed to offer an AI-enhanced lifestyle, which includes a huge focus on an outstanding selfie experience with its AI beautification features and front camera that allows one to capture AI selfies. Previous HUAWEI nova 2 and HUAWEI nova 3e have received substantial success in the UAE and region, with the HUAWEI nova 3e was completely sold out on its first day on in-store shelves.

The HUAWEI nova 3 and Huawei nova 3i, enabled with artificial intelligence, are a breakthrough in the smartphone camera category. Both the smartphones offer AI front cameras that work with the AI beautification solutions which intelligently recognise the surroundings to instantly create the most amazing AI selfie.

Huawei has globally led the AI-powered smartphone category based on its industry research and development over the last year and has reflected its innovations across all its product categories. In fact, in a recent study conducted by Huawei CBG in partnership with YouGov, it was found that more than half of UAE residents take selfies daily. The study also highlighted that it takes a person at least three selfies before capturing the perfect picture. However, with the new HUAWEI nova 3 series that is AI enabled, a person can achieve a perfect selfie in a single click.

According to the above survey conducted, it was also found that 40 per cent of respondents preferred to have a smartphone that had both an optimum front and rear cameras. This reflects the current market situation, where, most smartphones currently have stronger rear camera than front camera. However, HUAWEI’s new nova 3 series offers state-of-the-art dual front and dual back cameras with 24 MP and 2 MP that powered by AI. The intelligent smartphone is equipped with a 24MP camera both in the front and at the rear to capture the best-looking selfies. The AI enhancements will create selfies at the first click by capturing both the face and the surroundings. The new f/2.0 wide aperture lens on the 24MP high-resolution front camera is joined by a 2MP broad spectrum color sensor that captures depth-of-field information for authentic bokeh effects.

HUAWEI nova 3 runs on Kirin 970 with up to 6GB memory and the newest EMUI 8.2 to offer a flagship-class experience to users and HUAWEI nova 3i is equipped with a Kirin 710 AI processor and EMUI 8.2 for flagship performance.

HUAWEI nova 3 is enabled with over 200 different scenarios across eight unique categories that include blue skies, beaches, plants, night, stage performances, flowers, rooms and snow. Hence, the AI powered phones will recognise the background and capture every detail to create an enhanced shot that offers best colour optimization features. 

Huawei nova 3 series offers AI enabled beauty algorithm

HUAWEI nova 3’s camera has a set focal length of 35mm for selfies providing the best-in-technology to capture a stunning AI selfie. The AI enabled beauty algorithm offers seven skin tones and textures for users to choose from and customize their selfies to create their own definition of beauty. 

UAE:

The HUAWEI nova 3 will be available for pre-order from 15th July, 2018, at the HUAWEI Experience Store located at The Dubai Mall and across select retailers in the UAE, and will be on shelf from 26th July, 2018.

The HUAWEI nova 3 will be available in Iris Purple, Airy Blue and Black colours at price of AED 1,799. In addition, the HUAWEI nova 3i will also be available for pre-order from 7th August and will be on the shelf from 16th August, 2018 at the HUAWEI Experience Store at the Dubai Mall and across select retailers in the UAE. 

The HUAWEI nova 3i will be available in Iris Purple, Pearl White and Black colours at AED 1,299.
