Pakistani Pilgrim brought back to Life after 10 minutes of Cardiac Arrest

Madinah Health rapid rescue team resuscitates 70-year-old heart  Riyadh: - KSA:  Rapid intervention teams in Madinah managed on Wednesday, March 1st, to save the life of a Pakistani pilgrim whose heart stopped beating for more than 10 minutes. Madinah's Health cluster said that medical teams received a call about a seventy-year-old patient who was suffering from loss of consciousness at the Prophet’s Mosque Plaza, where paramedics diagnosed the case as cardiac and respiratory arrest. CPR started at 11:20 am -according to protocol- with the use of electric shocks, to restore a pulse and pump more oxygen. After a successful run, the patient was transferred to AlSafia center to complete further treatment until his situation stabilized, The pilgrim left the center and is recovering at his hotel.

Saudi Ministry of Health provides a dialysis service for patients with kidney failure, Serving up to 1,000 patients 24 hrs a day. by a team of 57 doctors and 228 nurses, working on 251 units. This year, the ministry added 10 mobile dialysis units, which are easy to transport to the patient's location. It can also be used in ambulances and inside hospitals where central dialysis units are not available. Mobile units can also be transferred to pilgrims' camps if needed.

Ambulance evacuation from Madinah to Holy sites in Makkah  Riyadh:  Saudi Ministry of Health convoy for inpatient pilgrims set sail early morning on Tuesday, July 5, after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. The annual ritual involves transporting pilgrims, who were admitted to Madinah Hospitals to the holy sites in Makkah (450km away) to resume their Hajj. The ministry stated that the convoy included 10 ambulances, with a specialized medical team consisting of doctors, nurses, and paramedics. In addition to 5 backup ambulances, an intensive care ambulance, in addition to an integrated oxygen cabin, a mobile mechanic workshop, and a bus to transport patient spouses and relatives.
